Candidates must be within driving distance of or willing to relocate to Scott City, MO.
This position is in an office environment but requires significant time in the plant and in the field with customers.
Proven experience with food grade milling management is key.
In addition, excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively work with and direct a team environment.
Education Level:
BS in Engineering, Business, Agri-Business, or Milling Science Related

Director of Operations Job Description I.
Position Purpose Reporting to the President and as part of the Executive Committee, this position provides strategic direction, oversight, and management for the company.
This includes production management, project managements, financial review, and general management.
This position is responsible for aligning the sales, production systems and support of the other company functions with the Vision, Values and Strategic Objectives of this organization.
II.
Position Responsibilities and Duties Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:
Operational Management Manage and oversee operational functions - milling, maintenance, projects, safety, environmental, food safety/quality Ensure proper staffing and training Oversight of company procurement for operations Oversight of all plant projects, including engineering & budgets Establish systems and process for plant performance evaluations Establish systems and practices to ensure the company or any individual is not knowingly performing his or her duties unlawfully, unsafely Evaluate performance of direct reports Develop and maintain open communication and a team environment Food Safety & Health Safety Ensure Good Manufacturing practices are in place & maintained Oversee the safety committee Develop a training matrix that enhances quality and safety behaviors Manage the operation for zero lost time incidents Manage the operation for zero quality returns Manage the operation to ensure BRC compliance Oversee all regulatory compliance including OSHA and EPA Ensure customer specifications and needs are achieved Ensure FSMA compliance Quality, Safety and Sanitation Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements General Management and Leadership Work with all stakeholders to ensure the vision and values are being achieved Ensure all regulatory compliance Review operational and area budgets Work to achieve the corporate short & long-term goals and objectives Foster the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System Follow established Human Resources procedures Ensure proper staffing, training, and adherence to area SOP's.
Evaluate the performance of team members Create a team working environment Develop key indicators to measure quality and productivity Administer Coaching and Counseling where needed Ensure that ongoing continuous improvement is achieved.
Foster good working relationships with other department managers and supervisors.
Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.
III.
Physical and Mental Requirements This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12-hour work shift each day.
Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position.
